Crafts of carpentry

  • General carpenters: General carpenters provide the crucial foundation for concrete, exteriors, roofs, infrastructure, scaffolding, fine trim and finish work within the Industrial construction industries.

  • Dock builders and divers: Dock builders and divers work on complex marine and waterfront projects, including bridges, piers, pilings and underwater structures. They’re trained to perform heavy construction above and below the waterline, often in challenging conditions that demand strength, precision and teamwork.

  • Piledrivers: Pile drivers drive steel, concrete, or wood piling into the earth during the early stages of construction of data centers. They set up the foundation of skyscrapers, highways, bridges, solar fields, and on/off-shore wind as well as build docks and wharfs.

  • Millwrights: Millwrights install, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, gas and steam turbines, monorails, and extruders. They can be found performing mission-critical work at coal, gas, nuclear, and alternative-energy power plants.
